2019 National Conference for Rural Catholics

The Fifteenth National Conference for Rural Catholics takes place 25-27 February 2019, Sarum College, Salisbury. The conference includes includes talks by the MP who chairs the EFRA Parliamentary Committee, The Changing World of Farm Machinery, The Paper Farmer, Rural Post Offices, Re-introducing the Great Bustard and Sarum College’s rural ministerial training programme.

National Strategy

National Core Group

A national core group exists to explore how ministry and outreach to non-churchgoing Catholics might be developed. Group members draw from their own experiences of working with non-churchgoing Catholics to assist the ongoing work of the Department for Evangelisation and Catechesis.

Diocesan Pilot Project

As part of the 'Crossing the Threshold' project it was decided that a parish-based pilot project was needed to explore how best parishes in England and Wales might be supported to plan and initiate local evangelisation, with a specific focus on ministry and outreach to non-churchgoing Catholics.

Crossing the Threshold was a national tour supporting outreach and ministry to non-churchgoing Catholics. The tour was launched in York on 12 November 2011 and was followed by highly successful days in Birmingham, Crawley, Westminster, Cardiff and Liverpool.
