A simple prefabricated structure of the 1960s, built for the Westminster Travelling Mission.

The church was built in 1963 for the Westminster Travelling Mission, who required an inexpensive building to serve the rural area centred on Cuffley. It was dedicated to St Martin de Porres, canonised in 1962.

A simple structure built of timber on a brick base, the walls clad in vertical timber boarding with metal or uPVC windows, the overall pitched roof covered with felt, with a porch projection at the (liturgical) north west corner. Internally the church is a single space with boarded and painted walls and pitched ceiling with exposed metal roof trusses. At the liturgical east end is a raised sanctuary area, at the west end a central enclosed confessional. The windows are all clear glazed and all the furniture is simple.
