A small church of the late 1960s with a welcoming character, but without special architectural or historic interest.
The church of the Holy Family was built to serve an extensive area of new private housing that was developed in the 1960s and 70s. The church was built in 1965 to the design of Vis Williams. It is built of brown brick with deep timber fascias and a felt roof surmounted by a cross. The plan is an irregular hexagon with the altar at the centre of one of the shorter sides. The roof rises to a peak above the altar, and drops low to connect with the single storey porch and parish hall. The long walls on the southeast and southwest sides have continuous strips of tinted glazing at high level set into mahogany frames. The simple interior has a timber strip ceiling and fair-faced brick walls. The pews are original and are angled to face the altar.
