A design and build church of a standardised type erected in 1970, of no special architectural or historic interest.
The church is one of four that were erected in the large Childwall Valley overspill housing estates during the 1960s. It is of similar character to two other churches erected by Lanner Construction, St Mark’s Halewood and St Cyril, Netherley, but is somewhat larger. The building is divided into a worship area and a parish hall, each of similar size. It is built of yellow brick with a concrete tile roof and a copper coloured fleche.
