Gossops Green Lane, Gossops Green, Crawley
A simple, building of no great architectural pretension, but with some furnishings of note.
The first church was built in 1959, from designs by Clayton, Black & Daviel. This was replaced by the present church in 1971 (architect/designer not established). This is a simple cruck-built design consisting of nave and sanctuary, clad in brick and with battered buttresses rising to the full height of the nave walls. There is a thin clerestory band between the buttresses. A relief carving of St Theodore on the external east wall is by Joseph Cribb and came from the previous church. The Stations of the Cross look as though they are by The Guild of St Joseph and St Dominic at Ditchling.
