A modest brick church originally built in 1938, notable for glass by Gabriel Loire.
Originally built as a dual-purpose church and hall seating 150, the building opened on Easter Sunday, 1 April 1939. A local newspaper account (Chichester Observer, 31 March 1939) gave the name of the designer as Harry Osbourne, in conjunction with Messrs Taylor Hunt & Co.
The church was consecrated by Bishop Kieron Conroy on 13 June 2006.
Description
A red brick church built to a simple rectangular plan with a gabled porch added at the west end. Domestic-style windows to the nave. Triplet of round-arched lancets and two single side lancet windows to the sanctuary. These windows have dalle de verre glass of 1963 by Gabriel Loire (cf Chichester).
