Warrington – The Resurrection and St Bridget

St Bridget’s Close, Cinnamon Brow, Fearnhead, Warrington WA2

An  unremarkable modern building, designed by the successor firm to that of F. X. Velarde.

Built to serve new development within the area of Warrington New Town, which was developed from the late 1960s. The church, which is served from St. Stephen Sandy Lane, is shared with the Church of England. It is rectangular in plan, built of buff-coloured brick with a pitched and slated roof which is brought down onto metal columns, giving the building something of the appearance of a peripteral temple.
