Oatlands Road, Westvale, Liverpool
A functional modern church serving a post-war housing estate.
Westvale is one of the districts of the new town of Kirkby, developed by Liverpool Corporation in the decades following after the Second World War. The parish was established in 1965.
The church is rectangular on plan; the walls are of buff brick with narrow vertical openings and a continuous strip of glazing at the wall head. The body of the church has a flat roof with a monopitch roof over the sanctuary area; a glazed upstand provides top-light to the sanctuary. The roofs are covered with felt, with timber boarded sides.
