A late 1960s church by George Mathers, square on plan and with a central spirelet.
The church was built as a satellite of Douai Abbey and opened in 1969. The architect was George Mathers ARIBA, the builders W.E. Chivers & Sons Ltd and the cost £22,000. A parish hall was added in the 1990s.
Description
The church is square in plan, mainly faced in brick, with a concrete ring beam supporting an asymmetrical roof with concrete tiles and an aluminium-clad spire. Asymmetrically-placed entrance under a flat concrete canopy. Parish hall extension to the south. The interior was not inspected.
